About the Journal

The Journal of Living Fiqh (e-ISSN XXX-XXX) is an international journal that serves a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (March and October) by JAGMAN Institute, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. First published on March 1, 2024, this journal serves as a platform and forum for scholars and researchers interested in the issues related to traditional Fiqh around the globe from various perspectives, covering both theoretical and practical studies. Its primary aim is to disseminate original research and address contemporary issues within the subject. The journal has been registered as a CrossRef member since 2025. Therefore, all articles published by this journal will have a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) number.

The Journal of Living Fiqh focuses on issues related to traditional Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) around the globe from various perspectives, covering both theoretical and practical studies. Its aim is to communicate original research and current issues within the subject. The journal warmly welcomes contributions from scholars and researchers in related disciplines: political fiqh and International law, contextual fiqh in Muslim majority countries, cultural studies within Islamic legal framework, fiqh and gender issues, as well as fiqh and environmental issues.
